+ My vanity drain is blocked – how can I clean this myself?

Purchase a standard plunger. Fill the sink to allow the drain to hold water. Place the plunger over the plug hole. Push up and down on the plunger. This will create a force down the drain and it may unblock. If it doesn’t there could be another secondary problem such old waste piping or a foreign object that has entered a drain.

+ Where can I isolate the water to my house in a flooding emergency?

You can isolate your water supply at your water meter. Water meters can be found in various locations depending on the council and type of dwelling you live in. The council can be called and they can give you the location of your water meter. These are in general on the boundary of your property. In unit blocks, contact your body corporate and they will tell you the location of your meter.

+ How often should I clean my drains?

If you are aware of a problem with tree roots entering your drains, we recommend an annual drain clean as part of your household maintenance schedule.

+ My garbage disposal has stopped working what can I do?

Blades within the unit can become seized. Turn the power off to the unit. Using the tool (Wrench) supplied with your unit at purchase Place the wrench in allocated slot on the underside of the unit. Rotate wrench until blades free. Ice can be placed in the unit to maintain the blades.

+ Can I plumb in my own fridge point?

+ If I install my own plumbing fixtures does it void the product warranty?

Yes, for many products it does. Check the warranty fine print on any product you are installing yourself.

+ I think I have a water leak at my property. How can I check myself?

Go to your water meter. Record the time and number. If the meter is turning and there are no fixtures on, then there is a high chance you have a leak. If there is no movement then you will not. We recommend taking readings, 5mins or 10 mins apart or overnight. If it is moving check all fixtures in the house first to see if a toilet is running or hot water system is leaking. Look for any greener patches on lawns and make sure that back hose tap has been turned off!
